What is pH?

pH = p(otential of H(ydrogen)
The amount of hydrogen ions in a solution is called pH and can affect every cell in the human body. Because of this, a solution needs a proper balance of pH. This measure is shown by the pH scale which ranges from 0, most acidic solution, to 14, most alkaline solution. With 7 being neutral solutions, a proper pH level for the body is needed in order for the body and its internal organs to function properly.

When your pH levels are imbalanced, every area in the body is affected. Disease, sickness, and pain are the result of this imbalance. One’s diet is a huge factor in this, which seems to be more and more acidic as time goes on. Weight gain is a direct result of too much acid in the diet. This acid produces insulin, which causes the fat to be stored in the body, instead of being burned off. When electrolytes are imbalanced by too much acid, the body is left feeling tired and exhausted from having no energy that is produced by these electrolytes. Other factors can also affect the pH level, such as stress, which causes the organs to be overworked, making the body more prone to problems.

The ideal body pH should be around 7.0, a diet should consist of properly balanced acidic and alkaline foods. This can be achieved with the 70 - 30 rule, meaning 70% of the diet should be alkalizing foods, with only 30% being acidic foods. This means eating lots of green foods and vegetables, plus foods high in pH that will help your body maintain a healthy and balanced pH level. Another key to keeping the body’s pH accurately balanced is drinking plenty of Ionized Water. Ionized Water will reduce the body’s acid level along with balancing the overall pH of the body. By doing so the acids stored in the body will slowly remove themselves and help the body function better.

In order to transform the pH levels in your body, you must take several steps and make changes in your current lifestyle and diet. Reducing the intake of Vitamin C in the body will help balance your pH level, and instead taking in Vitamin A, B, & D. Other nutritional recommendations are taking enzyme supplements, calcium, magnesium, colloidal minerals, potassium, phosphorus, drinking alkaline vegetable juices and plenty of Ionized water. You can monitor your pH levels on a daily basis. Testing your pH level can either be done under your tongue or with urine, and it quickly and effectively gives you your pH level. Once you find that your pH level is balanced correctly, maintaining this level is the next step.
