Breast Thermography
WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY?
Breast Thermography is a diagnostic procedure that images the breast and surrounding tissue to aid in the early detection of breast cancer.
State of the art Thermography uses ultra sensitive infrared cameras and sophisticated software to detect, analyze and produce high resolution diagnostic images of temperature and vascular changes.
This technology is not intended to replace regular self-exams, mammograms or ultrasound.
HOW IS THE TEST PERFORMED?
The testing procedure follows a very thorough process. On the day of your exam, after following pre-examination instructions, one of our certified and trained staff members will review your breast history information. The test is taken in an environmentally controlled room, where you will be positioned in front of our imaging system so that all the surfaces of the breast, upper chest and under arm areas are imaged.
This procedure is radiation free, completely painless and without compression, unlike a mammogram. We send the images to be professionally analyzed by a Board Certified Clinical Thermologist.
The key to breast cancer survival rests upon the earliest possible detection. If it is discovered in its earliest stages, there is a possible 95% cure rate. Research shows that women with a family history of the disease have a greater risk, but a large percentage of women who get breast cancer have no family history. Approximately 1/3 of all breast cancers occur in women under 45 years of age. Cancers in women of this age group are generally more aggressive and have poorer survival rates.
We strongly encourage a baseline Thermography exam to begin at the age of 20 years old. Breast Thermography offers women information that no other testing procedure can provide. Schedule your exam today, and let’s combat breast cancer with prevention!

We also offer Full Body, Upper Body, and Lower Body Thermography.
Disclaimer: Thermography is utilized as an adjunctive imaging procedure only and, as such, is not a replacement for or alternative to any other form of imaging. Since thermography only detects heat at the surface of the body, the technology cannot see into the cranial vault, thoracic or pelvic cavities, or deep into the body to visualize organs or bones. All thermography reports are meant to identify thermal emissions that suggest potential risk markers only and do not in any way suggest a diagnosis or treatment. Since a diagnosis cannot be made from an infrared image, thermal markers must be correlated by the patient’s treating physician with additional testing and procedures before a final diagnosis can be made.
